How to Start Today
-
Write. Don't think that you have to wait until you have
a cabin in the woods or an apartment in New York City.
-
Read every word out loud. Your eyes, ears, lips, and tongue will
work together to catch mistakes and smooth out your prose.
-
Polish your work, but realize that you have to move on at some
point.
-
Keep every scrap of fiction and poetry that you produce. There's
no better way to go back in time and come face to face with an earlier
self.
-
Stay at it. Writers write.
